SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. PART 5. ATTRACTION AND EMOTIONS
Hello, everyone!
This week I'm going to share my impression on The
Module 5 of Social Psychology.
The Module covers the problem
of Our Feelings and Emotions.

It consists of following chapters:
1.
The definition
of Emotions; their functions and types (signaling, communicative);
2.
The way attribution
influences our Emotions;
3.
The influence
of emotions to one’s behavior;
4.
The role of
attraction in social relationship.
There is a lot I learned from
this module, which helped me to make a conclusion.
Since we are always surrounded
by society, the communication and our attribution to people plays a significant
role in establishing all kinds of relationship. Not only our attitude towards
them is important, but also the way we explain other people’s behavior. We
judge a person on the actions they do, trying to find different explanations of
their behavior. This kind of evaluation leads us to feeling different emotions
towards them. Moreover, the state of a person’s feeling may also influence our
perception of them, thus, we tend to feel different emotions to people
considering the reasons them made them feel this or that way.
The lecturer also talked about
attraction. The attraction is mostly based on our stereotypes. We see a person
and, subconsciously, come up with the judgment we make about his appearance,
social status, values, attitudes and personal traits of character. This
sometimes influences our ability to feel empathy or sympathy towards them. And,
eventually, we come to understand that we tend to be attracted to people who
are similar with us in certain ways.
I absolutely loved this
module. I got answers to many of my questions. Now I quite understand the
mechanism of getting attracted to people around me.
Having studied the Module, I
passed the test. The results are following:
