CHALLENGE #3. CALL A STRANGER AND APOLOGIZE FOR NOT BEING IN CONTACT FOR SUCH A LONG TIME.
Hi, dear follower!
Since the new week
means the new challenge, here I am to share
my impression of the latest challenge I went through.
This one was rather silly, but I believe it's worth
sharing! :))
So, the challenge of this week was:
“Call a stranger and
apologize for not being in contact for such a long time”

My “victim” was a girl named Alice. Frankly speaking,
this time I wasn’t very nervous, because I had my speech written beforehand.
So, I dialed her number, it took time for her to pick
up the phone (people in our country are often suspicious, getting a call from unfamiliar
numbers.
She uttered her disturbed “Hello!”
And I started to
speak with an uplifting tone:
“Ohhh,
hi, Alice!!! I’m so excited to hear you again!! It’s been ages that we didn’t
talk!!! How ARE you??? How have you been?? Ohh, I’m sooo sorry I haven’t been
calling you for such a long time!!”
What she said in her trembling voice was: “H-h-hi…I’m…okay…and…how are you..?” It
was evident that she was embarrassed to have forgotten the person who was so
happy to hear her voice.
I had to confess who I actually were. And guess what? I
told her that I was a manager of an IT service who had called her 4 years ago to
conduct a questionnaire on an internet provider she used.
Well, she said she was busy. I think she wanted to
take some time to think it over.
In the end I was relieved that another step on my way of
becoming less stage-frightened was successfully passed.
What
do you think of this challenge? Would you ever do anything like that?
I’d love
to get your opinion!:)
