CHALLENGE #5
“You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile.”
― Charlie Chaplin
Hello, everyone!
I am here with my weekly report on the new challenge.
So, this week I chose to “share a chocolate with a bus conductor and gratitude them for their work in such a tough period of time”.
Smile - is a universally human form of communication. It has the ability to reach into the depths of another person. A single smile can start a conversation and says so much without saying a word.

The conductor was a pleasant-looking woman. Even though it was only the beginning of the week, she seemed tired.
I really wished to do something to cheer her up, this is why I was so excited about doing the challenge. At the same time I felt a bit nervous, but I managed to control my feelings.
So, I approached the woman and told her with a smile that it was a nice and sunny day. She kindly agreed and gave me a smile back. Then I asked her if she liked chocolate and I immediately got a positive answer. With a rapid motion I put a hand in my bag and pulled it out with a bar of chocolate in it. The woman’s face expressed a great astonishment. On the palm of my hand I invited her to take the bar. The woman gently refused. It may have seemed weird for her, but I think she was pleased to get such attention from a stranger.
Then I had to confess, saying how much I appreciated their work and that I was grateful for a person like her to do such a risky job in such a tough period of time - the lockdown. The woman was delighted. She accepted my gift with pleasure.
The bus already reached my station. Getting off this bus, I wished the woman a brilliant day. She gave thanks and said that she hoped to see me again soon.
Frankly speaking, this was the most beautiful challenge of those I have completed. I felt elated. It was pleasant for me to evoke the kind woman’s smile and make her day slightly better.
This challenge made me realize that a tiny positive action towards a person is able to melt their heart, bring in trust and belief in good and kindness.
